2Cross is a J2ME MIDP 2.0 application which simulates a bridge constuction. It is similar to the desktop games bridge builder, pontifex and bridge construction set but is run on a mobile phone instead of on your PC.
The game is a 2D bridge building simulation game. Your mission is to build a bridge between two locations. To do this you have different materials which have different properties and different costs.
The challenge is to make the bridge as cheap as possible. There are 10 levels you have to finish to complete the game.
There is also cooperative multiplayer where two of you can build the same bridge and together you must finish the levels or versus multiplayer where random levels are generated and the player that completes the bridge first wins.
To run 2cross you need a phone which can run MIDP 2.0 application. Most phones can do this. To run the multiplayer modes you'll need to have Bluetooth support. To play sounds and music your phone needs to support mp3 playback.
To install the game, upload the two files (.jar- and the .jad-file) to your phone. This can either be done using an application supplied by the phone manufacturer or done directly from eg. windows or linux. The file transfer can either be done with a usb cable or through Bluetooth
Here are some hints that might help you in the game.
Wood girder. No track. The train will fall through this girder.
Wood with track. The train will use the tracks on these girders. Note that this material is more expensive and heavier than the standard wood girder.Special uses:
